Ehh, not really. The brain bug was a general bug on Planet P. If u read the book, it says that the brain bugs are the generals on the bug infested worlds.

I think the god bug, according to Starship troopers Wikipedia, was a the leader of the main arachnid war council on OM-1. It was a HQ ans we blew it up.

The “making of” for …
The “making of” for that bug on the DVD was entertaining. They said they wanted it to look similar to the one captured in Starship Troopers 1, but since years had passed, they wanted it to look sort of like rotten meat. And in my opinion, they captured the essence of rotten meat perfectly with that thing.
