I want to replace under ground oil tank to above ground . Natural gas is not available in my area. Electricity may be more expensive. Before I put money in new tank, I would like to know about any new heating teachnology available for home use ,

There is a lot of new technology available – geothermal, solar, bio-mass to name a few. All of them will require a significant investment, but they also will pay great dividends. There are probably some local sources for info to help with your decision.
Depending upon your budget, a new tank might be a good temporary measure while you’re researching other options.
