Everyone always says that you should not look to others for approval. When you’re in a dating situation aren’t you really trying to get the other person to approve of you as a mate? Is it wrong to want the other person to approve of you?

do you mean approval as an asking if you want to kiss hold hands etc.
if so dont do it untill you think its right and you would do the same

no dear, its not necessary it depends upon you and parents culture, if they belongs to conservative family than possibilities are there.
Other wise no need to take anybody’s permission for dating.
