Adobe … @ASCII808
Adobe has worked real hard to allow even Indesign to export to FLASH for interactive website. I think Apple is jelous of Adobe’s integration and Flash Catalyist has been added to the Master Collection in CS5. I think Steve Job’s sees Adobe as a big threat to FCS. I guess one could say a threat to Apple in general.

The iPhone is a … The iPhone is a piece of as is the iPad. While OS 4 might be better Sprint has announced 4G will be nation wide by the end of the year. My area has few 4G towers now. The HTC EVO is going to kick the out the of iPhone so the iADS debate might be a moot point. Gee, I can have an iPhone and iADS or 4G and an kicking HTC phone. Tough deciasion. No, not realy : )

Steve is going over … Steve is going over board….he will not conform with Flash now he is trying to tell people how they can advertise. Screw that. We do not need one man to dictate how the web will look. It should be up to the individual company that runs that website.

@lukewfilms thanks, … @lukewfilms thanks, that is my point, its supposed to help developers, but if the pool to partake is small the battle becomes desperation of a quality app to gain the add as the criteria to be “emotional” / interactive in itself. Price points and costs to advertisers is higher, meaning lower output to be share. so how does this help exactly?

@coolass222 so, … @coolass222 so, they are going to have a very select base of advertisers because if those that only want a banner cannot partake? hmmm, the pool seems very small to partake at that point, 1. being price point, 2. being extra production costs to create more content, 3. extra costs if the company uses flash toolkit to parallel with html5. hmmm.

Apple does not seem … Apple does not seem to be replacing ads, it is to evolve ads. If people dont want that interactivity then dont get a iAd.

@davidkjordan111111 … @davidkjordan111111 well for anti-trust or using the sherman act, apple has to be proven to be a monopoly, that is a tough battle as they are not the % power hold on the market necessary. i criticize their practices because while it is their right, it could lead to a developer backlash. Also open standards do not really mean “open”, they mean common denominator, a contradiction also of Jobs where he spoke about 3rd party compilers.

I am just loving … I am just loving the fact that the whole flash vs. no flash may draw a anti trust suit…I think Apple should start realizing that if they tout openess in apps etc., they should eat their own dog food and allow their products to also be open. I know…Mac fan boys are going to flame the out of me…but if your for openess, then that should be across the board…
