How does computer technology relate to academic subjects (looking for 4-6 but any number is good). Anyways 10 points for who ever gives best answer :)

Computer technology relates to any and everything.

In terms of our social lives and well being, many of us rely on the internet through use of computers to communicate with friends, family, and loved ones.

Many people use the computer to meet new people and start deep relationships.

Computer technology is involved in every aspect of our lives. From the cars we drive, to the places we learn, and how we get our word news and information.

In terms of science, computer technology has revolutionized theories and ideas that we had once though impossible to prove or disprove.

With the aide of computers, we are able to increase our productivity in the work place and save our work for the very next day.

By using data through electronic means, we are able to reduce the levels of environmental decay by doing away with paper and using the internet.

I aspire to have wireless broadband in my house. What is needed for this technology?

A wireless router. You should encrypt it so your neighbors can’t piggyback on it. Your manual will tell you how to do so.

In order to wipe everything off of a computer’s hard drive, except for the OS, the first step is to remove all of the programs on the computer. Learn about what shouldn’t be deleted from a computer with help from a software developer in this free video on computer hard drives.

What if we all end up in a society where we become cogs in a computer-technology machine, where all we do is just write code and program and build computers and machines?

Doesn’t that sound a bit dreary and bleak to you, where there’s no other jobs nor opportunities to be human?

It seems that America would become slaves to Technology as it did to Industrialization a hundred years ago.

Nope. There are WAY too many things that computers can’t do.

ANY work outside. repairmen, gardeners, tree trimmers. construction workers. road builders. Social workers. lawyers. doctors. nurses. chefs. the list is nearly endless. scientists…yes, they USE computers, but computers don’t find the cure for diseases all by their lonesome. They are tools. And it takes a human to use a tool.

I have written several nationally-published, widely-used technology books for students and teachers. I am considering writing a book as an introduction to technology for home school students and parents. I want to include chapters on several different technologies (digital cameras, scanners, online services, etc.) and hands-on student projects for using them. (During my 24-year teaching career I have found that many – not all – but many home school students are not exposed to educational technololgy.)

So – I want to find out if there is a book or web-site already out there. No – I don’t intend to buy it or copy it ! :) In fact, I probably won’t even look at it. But – if there is a book published that everybody loves, then there’s no reason for ME to invest my time writing an alternative.

So – please tell me… is there a book you currently use? Is there an interest in such a book if it were available?

In teaching our 9th grader, I would use library and Internet resources.
The community colleges have had success with dual enrollments of home school students age 16 and above, and they now have branched out with classes for those under 16.
We used public school on line study guides and inter actives for our study of computer technology. Most schools have web pages with links to study sites.
The website below looks interesting for digital camera study.

I’m doing a research paper on the topic, We all know the benefits it brings to the classroom, and to today’s society but I’m having trouble finding the benefits it brings to the medical field and to the work place. Does anyone have any references, any idea, or opinions on how computer technology benefits at least one of the two?

It actually brings the world closer together making information nad technology easy to access.

I realy need this book in pdf. THX to all

Try to find it here
