I want to know what section of computer technology I should learn that I could make money on. I always enjoy working with computers and fixing them to make them better and run faster but since this is something I actually enjoy I want to see if I could design something and make money off it.. Like a website or an application or something like that. I’m 14 but there are teens that make millions of dollars designing things like apps for FaceBook. Thanks

First Doing Good in Math is basic if you want to go advance in computing
Then choose an area in computing which you are really interested, such as web development, database, etc.
Then learn it hard! you will then the idea of how to make money from that.

I am looking to install a security system in my small business.
I have looked at a few models there are a few that say they have –"home plug and play technology".
-What is home plug and play technology ?
-Also, what do they mean by it sends encrypted video on existing wiring?
-What do you recommend for someone who is not a techie but needs a small basic but good surveillance system?

In what ways has computer technology negatively impacted society? How has it positively?
I am writing a synthesis argument paper for a class and the topic is whether computer technology has had more of a negative impact or a positive impact on society.
I am trying to make a list of both positive and negative impacts and am in need of some more ideas. What do you think?

Positive:
i) reducing cost / number of staff needed.
ii) Reducing amount of hardware (printers) due to LAN networking.
iii) Fun – games, Internet, music, graphics.
iv) Communication. More ways to interact globally.
v) Education – access to info for research.
vi) 3rd world – cheaper to provide laptops thean to send books over (OLPC, etc)..

Negative:
i) Hardcore porn industry (including child porn)
ii) Hackers, ID fraud and spoof websites,
iii) Virusses, spam and trojans.
iv) Cyber-bullying and cyber-stalking.
v) People unable to interact ‘in person’.
vi) Online gambling.

Why are people still travelling long distances to work, when perhaps in some cases, especially office workers they could work from home with the right technology. It seems crazy people are travelling daily long distances to do this type of work. How many business people need to travel abroad so frequently? Surely technology could be brought in here as well e.g. conference facilities, webcams etc. Does anybody else agree?

A great new hardware technology being used would be Multi-Touch, which allows you to navigate through the interface using multiple fingers and natural gestures. So far I have seen it implemented in Apple’s iPhone and Microsoft’s Surface.

Why are some married people on dating websites?

Some of them are hardcore christians that are really religious but yet have no problem seeking an affair on a CHRISTIAN dating website.

Hmmmm.

Christian or not, married people on dating sites are there for one thing only….to cheat….and it is NOT right! Any married person who goes on a dating site is clearly not happy in their marriage and are looking for an affair. I think cheating is a BIG NO NO! and I would consider it cheating if I ever found out my spouse was on one of those sites. The fact that there are those christian "hypocrites" doing it too just means they are even lower than lower. Not only low enough to disrespect their marriage, but also low enough to completely disrespect their religion as well. Its a sad sad world out there!
